Firefighters hose down the burnt engine compartment of a Jeep Cherokee that sustained significant damage.
The fire investigator points to the point of origin of the fire - the block heater cord. (The circuit board lying inside the fender well is what's left of the car battery!)
Note the damage to the inside of the Jeep. The fire burned through the instrument panel directly behind the steering wheel, filled the entire interior with smoke, and cracked the windshield from the heat. Also note the mirror hanging partially down, melted by the intense heat.
