Rocky View Fire Services maintains three full-time fire stations in Springbank, Elbow Valley and Balzac, and well as three volunteer stations in Langdon, Irricana and Madden. The Fire Services team consists of more than 120 Paid-On-Call Firefighters, 50 Volunteer Firefighters, 12Full-time Firefighters, two District Chiefs, a Deputy Chief, a Fire Chief, and a General Manager.

Okotoks Fire Department is staffed by 11 full time firefighters and 27 volunteer community firefighters operating from two stations, and responding to almost 800 calls a year. The department is responsible for fire suppression, vehicle extrication, rescue, disaster services, minor hazmat cleanup and assisting with medical response when requested by the Foothills Regional Emergency Medical Service in the rapidly growing Town of Okotoks (current population of approximately 23,981) and for a surrounding rural area in the Municipal District of Foothills with a total population of almost 8,000. Okotoks Fire also provides mutual aid to fire services in surrounding communities.
