Hot Shots: Training - Tanker Shuttle Exercise, 6/19/04, Bragg Creek
Firefighter Devin Teal monitors the water levels in the portable drop tanks during the tanker shuttle training exercise.
50 Engine operates its Squrt tower using only water from the portable tanks in front of it. Considering how much water is pushed through that tower, that's a feat!
Firefighter Gary Robertson operates the dump valve on one of the tankers, to fill one of the drop tanks. After this, the tanker will go back to the fill site, several kilometers away, fill up with water, and again return here to offload water.
Firefighter Gary Robertson empties 50 Tank of its water. The 25-centimeter 'Kwik-Dump' valve will empty the truck in less than 5 minutes!
