We had exactly 400 calls in 2014: 173 were medical, 121 rescue, 65 fire, 20 hazmat, and 21 uncategorized.

Our busiest truck of the year was ‪120RC‬ with 273 responses; ‪120RRV‬ had 133.

Our busiest district was Springbank (where we do mutual and automatic aid with Rocky View County Fire Fighters) with 83 calls; second-busiest was a tie between the Bragg Creek townsite and Kananaskis Country with 55 a piece. Redwood Meadows saw 51 responses.

Our busiest "fire" call type was catalogued alarm (automatic fire alarm) at 25 responses. Tied for second was house fire (and possible house fire) and investigations, with 13 each. Next was burning complaints, with 11 responses.

Our busiest "medical" call type was motor vehicle incidents at 108. Next was traumatic injuries at 32, followed by sick person (non-specific) at 22. Falls were next with 18 calls.

Our busiest day of the week was Saturday, with 72 calls. Thursday was the quietest, with 48. Busiest time of day was between 5pm and 6pm with 30 calls; quietest time was 1am to 2am with just 3 calls.

On our 400 calls we averaged just under 1 hour on-scene time for each. All our crews are volunteers and the 400 hours x each volunteer's commitment doesn't include time taken for training, courses, going to and from the station, doing weekend and weekday standby, or any of the other tasks that we do to keep you safe and secure.

All the best to everyone and have a safe and happy 2015!
