A special weather statement has been issued by Meteorological Service of Canada, CA Environment Canada for the Redwood Meadows area.

Significant rainfall is expected with 75 to 100 mm by Wednesday morning (June 15, 2022). 

Townsite and our EMA has been in contact with the Tsuut'ina Nation regarding the rainfall advisory. 

Our Operations Department has prepared our pumps and equipment , should they be required for any overland flooding. 

RMES is also prepared for emergency and weather events. 

It is recommended that residents ensure downspouts are pointed away from their homes foundation and sump pumps are plugged in and operational. 

Please be careful in and around any large bodies of water.
