REDWOOD MEADOWS, April 16, 2023 - It is with heavy hearts that Redwood Meadows Emergency Services (RMES) announces the passing of Fire Communications Officer Jason Low, April 15, 2023, Jason served with RMES for more than 30 years, starting his service in 1991.

Despite the best efforts of his colleagues and emergency medical personnel, he was unable to be revived.

"We are devastated by the loss of our longtime colleague and friend," said RMES Chief Evans. "He was an integral member of our team and served his community with dedication and distinction for three decades. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time."

RMES would like to express our deepest appreciation to the partner agencies, EMS, Stars, and RCMP, who also responded to this incident and worked alongside our crews to provide the best possible care to the affected individual.

Funeral arrangements for FCO Low are pending and will be shared as soon as they are available.

There will be a flower drop memorial set-up at the fire station Sunday for anyone wishing to pay condolences.
