2025 was one of our busiest response years in our 47-year history.
We responded to 443 calls for service:
- 191 medical calls
- 121 rescues
- 93 fire-related calls
- 22 other-type calls
- 7 hazmat calls.
Top medical call types were falls, unconscious/fainting, and chest pain.
Top fire call types were alarms, structure fires, and wildfires.
Our busiest time of day for calls in 2025 was 3 p.m., and the busiest day of the week for calls was Sunday.
RMES members invested over 14,000 hours in the community in 2025, training fifty times together in addition to attending calls, doing administrative work, taking courses, and participating in community events. It would take eight full-time paid firefighters to do the work that our mighty group of professional volunteers did!
Over the past 47 years, RMES has had almost 270 members answer the call to serve our community. Last year we welcomed 11 probationary members and said “see you soon” to several retiring members.
