We extend a warm welcome to our new 2016 recruit class!

Happy New Year to everyone!

We had 383 calls in 2015. They break down as follows: 189 were medical, 89 rescue, 71 fire, 12 hazmat, and 21 other.

Our busiest truck was ‪120 Rescue, with a total of 242 responses.

Our busiest area of response was Kananaskis with 87 responses. Redwood Meadows had 55, Bragg Creek 50 (Rockyview as a whole was 173), and Tsuut'ina First Nation 52. There were also 10 Foothills responses.

Our busiest day of the week is Sunday with 22% of all responses.

Our busiest time of day is 15:00 with 8.5% of all responses.

Remember that all your responders are volunteers and respond day or night at the drop of a hat!

Thank you to Jean-claude Quenaon from Namtuk Software for providing us with a license for Automatic Email Manager. Your support of Redwood Meadows Emergency Services if greatly appreciated!

This software will allow us to automatically print the e-mail attachements we get from our 9-1-1 dispatch centre for the Unit Dispatch and the Station Clear reports, saving us valuable time. These reports are then taken with us on calls and provide vital information related to the call we are responding to.

After having served us for more than 40 years, 120 SQURT has retired.

She will now be used primarily for training exercises and for the Fire Cadet Camp.
