Luke was in our very first week of Fire Cadet Camp we ever ran 4 years ago.
Today he is a member of RMES continuing the training he started in Fire Cadet Camp & serving the community.
We hope to see more former Fire Cadet Camp participant again later this year when we start our recruitment for 2017!
The possibilities are endless when you register for the summer of a lifetime!

What are you doing for lunch on Saturday May 14th?
How about coming by the Bragg Creek Centre for a burger or hot dog!
All proceeds (and whatever change ends ends up in the boot) will go towards the Fort McMurray firefighters, 24 of which lost their homes to "The Beast"! Hope to see you there 11:00 am until 3:00 pm!

Tomorrow morning Redwood Meadows Emergency Services will be sending two firefighters up north to help with the firefighting efforts in Fort McMurray.
While we were unable to send apparatus and equipment to assist earlier, we have been able to partner with Crossfield fire department and boost their manpower on the scene. Our firefighters will work under their control and use their equipment. This speaks volumes to the ability to work with our partners throughout Rocky View County and the communities around it and beyond.
While our members would all love to be up there helping our brothers and sisters with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo's fire department, we have our own wild land interface to worry about. That is our priority, our own backyard. This is why we support the fire ban until a substantial amount of moisture comes our way.
From the sounds of things, municipal firefighting resources from outside of the the general area will be demobilized in the near future and this could very well be our only members that get a chance to assist.
We will keep everyone posted with our work.
