We are now recruiting new members for our department. The recruiting campaign will run until further notice.
This is the third year that the central theme will focus around the phrase "EVERY MINUTE MATTERS - LOCAL VOLUNTEERS LOWER RESPONSE TIMES" and the concept of a maze.
Interested members of the public are encouraged to read through our recruitment section.

Several communities in Alberta have recently seen fraudulent fundraising activities. Criminals have been calling and pretending to raise money on behalf of fire departments and other emergency service-related activities.
Please note that Redwood Meadows Emergency Services is funded through your property taxes and grants from other levels of government. The department does not engage people by phone or door-to-door to seek donations from the public or business community and if we were to do so, would have proper fire department picture id.
If you receive a phone call asking for donations on behalf of any emergency service, hang up and call the RCMP non-emergency number for Redwood Meadows at 403-851-8000.
Alberta Wildfire is currently on scene of a 5 hectare fire south of Bragg Creek in the south end of the McLean Creek area. The fire is in a cut block with heavy slash content and this is why there is a lot of smoke being generated by this fire. The fire, while listed as out of control on the Alberta Wildfire app, is not threatening any homes or communities at this time. Campers in the area need to be aware of the fire and the public is asked not to go into the area. Please follow all directions from emergency personnel.
Up to date information is available on the Alberta Wilde Fire site: http://wildfire.alberta.ca/wildfire-status/status-map.aspx
